Cultural Historical Psychology

The generative potential of the cultural historical perspective, founded by Lev S. Vygotsky, for the sciences of human development, had a late spread in Western countries, starting in the seventies of the Twentieth Century. This late start was also burdened by a lack of knowledge of this school's original authors, because their writings were frequently published in compilations or textbooks that were not always an accurate transcription of the original texts.

From its very beginnings, Fundación Infancia y Aprendizaje (as Aprendizaje group) took on a task of updating this perspective, both through the translation and publication of its foundational authors, as well as through the promotion of meetings and conferences of researchers embracing it, then and now. The editing and publishing of the original works was thus complemented with creation and collaboration through academic journals, societies and scientific conferences, and specific advanced courses.
