This book aims to facilitate awareness of dialogue skills to teach how to better use dialogue. It proposes curricular materials that are valid and appropriate for use with pupils in Secondary Education. The aim of the activities presented is to optimize dialogue skills and give them moral direction and value. The approach proposed is to work on dialogue understood as ethical principle, as democratic procedure, and as a set of interpersonal skills. In order to fulfil these objectives, the programme combines learning modes that propitiate real experience of dialogue and learning modes oriented to the conceptualization and control of dialogue mechanisms. The book is divided into two large sections. The first deals with the theoretical foundations and description of the programme, while the second, wider in scope and more practical in nature, is devoted wholly to the presentation of the proposals for the activities making up the programme.
